The SouthPark Association of Neighborhoods (SPAN) is a nonprofit organization established in 2017 to represent and advocate for the interests of residential civic, homeowner, townhome and condominium associations in the SouthPark area.
Guided by a Board of Directors, SPAN also operates through several standing committees that focus on planning and redevelopment, transportation, placemaking, community engagement, and other initiatives that affect the quality of life in SouthPark. Through collaboration with residents, public agencies, and private-sector stakeholders, SPAN works to promote thoughtful growth, enhance neighborhood connectivity, and preserve the character of the SouthPark community.
Board Meetings
The SPAN Board of Directors typically meets on a bi-monthly basis on the fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the SouthPark Regional Library.
Meeting agendas are distributed in advance, and members receive copies of presentations, meeting summaries, or minutes following each meeting. Representatives of member organizations, as well as their association presidents or alternates, are encouraged to attend and participate in discussions regarding projects, policies, and issues affecting the SouthPark community

Networking and Educational Opportunities
Throughout the year, SPAN hosts a variety of educational programs, networking opportunities, and special events for its members and guests. These gatherings provide opportunities to learn about issues affecting the SouthPark area, exchange ideas, and build relationships with neighborhood leaders, community stakeholders, and public officials.
One of SPAN’s signature events is Stitch Together SouthPark, an annual networking program that brings together neighborhood leaders and elected officials to share experiences, discuss common challenges, and explore ideas and projects that would strengthen connections among neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life throughout the SouthPark area.
Communication
In addition to regular email updates distributed to Board members and member organizations, SPAN keeps residents informed about upcoming meetings, events, projects, and community news through its Facebook and Instagram platforms. Social media content is also accessible through the SPAN website, making it easy for residents to stay informed about activities and issues affecting the SouthPark community.
